Pulse & Pickle is a radical cultural centre and community hub in east London where folks can gather to eat, learn, dream, and create together.

Come in for free water, herbal tea, wifi, and toilets. Our dog-friendly space on Walthamstow's High Street has an accessible toilet on site and a step-free, street-facing entrance for easy access.

From Thursday to Monday we run a vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free restaurant that serves plant-based migrant fusion cuisine and provides an accessible and affordable live performance venue. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays we share our space to host organisations and events that fit into our circles of care.

We're located on the Walthamstow High Street and Market Road, right around the corner from St James Street Overground Station and a 10 min walk from Walthamstow Central Station. If you prefer to cycle, there are bike racks on the side street next to us for locking bikes, and we also have a bike pump for visitors to top up their inner tubes.

Our space has a step-free toilet and a street-facing, step-free entrance.

We are a dog-friendly space. Bring us your fur babies and we'll give them free water and treats!

Interested in joining our collective?

As members of the Pulse & Pickle collective, we are committed to:

* working together with kindness, trust, vulnerability, and accountability;
* supporting each other as we journey along the continuum from allyship to co-conspirator; and
* staying with the trouble.

To learn more about the values and priorities we have pledged to centre in this project, please read Our Values.

Joining our collective means sharing our commitment and the joys, pains, risks, and rewards that come with it.
The work required includes taking the time and energy to understand what you personally need in order to honour this commitment. Honouring this commitment can be challenging at times, because it asks us to unlearn behaviours that we may have never questioned before, or that we developed to keep our selves safe.
We embrace failure, forgiveness, and evolution after mistakes as essential to our process.

If you read the above and feel ready to dive into an experiment of keeping our bodies well-fed and our hearts open to hope while gently holding grief, uncertainty, and each other, please write to us at join@pulseandpickle.org.
